KX Technologies holds many patents and trademarks in custom water filtration technologies and systems. According the Kx technologies, formerly known as Kx Industries, below are some of their innovations in the filtration technology:
First to provide extruded activated carbon block filters, First to present miniature ”critical health claim” faucet mount and refrigerator cup water filter. They were first to introduce PLEKx water filtration. Kx Technologies came up with the first refrigerator cassette water filter and first installed refrigerator air/odor filter and many more.
The company was formed in 1989 originally as a LP (Limited Partnership) between Exxon Chemical Corp. and KT Corp. Marmon Water LLC acquired the assets of KX Industries LP in ’07, with the business going forward as KX Technologies LLC.

We are currently using the model CP5-BB water cartridge and find that we need to replace it every two weeks in order to maintain a minimal water pressure.
I viewed all of the filters that are available for the 4 1/2”x10” “Big Blue” and I was wondering which one might offer us a greater amount of time between changes.
FYI, in addition to the “Big Blue” we also have an ultraviolet water purification system and constantly providing excellent quality and innovation. are therefore not so much concerned about bacteria as much as the silt and sediment problem that we are experiencing. Thank you for your anticipated assistance in this matter.
CP5 series from Pentek has been modified to a newer model. It is now the ECP5-BB filter instead.

subject: A true 1 micron filter.
Comments: I would like to know if a pleated sediment filter is a true one micron filter and is it rated to remove cysts?
I have found that there are great differances in 1 micron filters and am looking for one to
remove sediment as small as 1 micron on initial installation.
Some are only one micron after the filter gets saturated with a given amount of sediment.
It depends what you want removed from the water.
If it’s sediment, it will do. If it’s cysts, it will not.
Pleated Cellulose-Polyester; Polypropylene; etc. are Sediment filters.
For cysts, a carbon type filter is needed.

I have a GE smartwater gxrv10abl01 water filtering system. I see the 155268
CBR2-10 listed as a replacment filter, but only as the POST filter, not the PRE filter. Why?
GE states that it’s filter, the fxp12 is used as BOTH the pre and post filters.
Can I use this 155268 CBR2-10 as BOTH filters??
Is there any (dis)advantages???

Hi: My question is…I have a filter system on our Ice Machine , this is a counter machine water and Ice…I use the Culligan C-2 Cartridge for replacement, and was looking around and found other kinds of the same size, I seen a filter #155031 R30-478, my problem with the filter i use now is
that sometime i get this dirty sediment. Am I using the right filter replacement cartridge?
Thank you
The C-2 filters are for taste & odor filtration (better quality), while the R30 are for sediment removal (first stage filtration).
If you get sediment in the water after it was filtered by the C2, this indicates filters are due for replacement.

Hello -
I have an American Plumber WVC34 water filter housing and am looking for replacement cartridges.
I saw the 155001 S-1 cartridge as a replacement, which is a pleated cellulose cartridge 20 micron “sediment” filter.
The unit filters my incoming city water line that feeds the entire house.
While I’m sure the listed cartridge will fit, I’m wondering whether I’d be better off with a carbon filter cartridge to reduce unwanted taste, odor, chlorine, etc.
Two questions:

What are the quality differences between #155312 (CBC20-BB) and #155249 (GAC20-BB)?
Simple.
The CBC filters come with smaller micron ratings.
Result: better quality filtration.
Downside: faster clogging and frequent need to replace cartridge.

I’m looking for whole-house water filtration that removes primarily chlorine.
Interested in low running costs.
Which is better, CuZn or active carbon?
I understand that active carbon removes chlorine etc whereas CuZn water filters converts it to a different chemical compound. Has there been any scientific tests of the health aspects of these converted compounds?
Have the CuZn filters been FDA approved?

I am looking for a US Filter (AMETEK) replacement cartridge
The number is 155153-3
It’s a carbon filter that needs replacement for my water purificiation unit.
The cartridge looks more like a GAC CC-BB cartridge with the measurements
below.
The one I see online is 155153 GAC-BB Water Filter. It shows some type of cone shape in top if the filter cartridge that is not on the original cartridge.
The original measures 9 3/8″ high x 4 5/8 diameter.
Is this a direct replacement?
Thanks for your inquiry.
The USFilter GAC cartridges are indeed different from the other carbon and sediment filters.
